Have you collected all your supplies, curriculum, and planning resources for the 2014-2015 school year yet? I heard someone say that this is “late in the game” to still be shopping for those things. Really? I guess I think of September as back to school time, though August is certainly included because it seems like many public schools start in August. I like to think that “true” back to school time isn’t until after Labor Day, though. Why rush it? Since we really homeschool year-round anyway, we pretty much consider September the time to start new grade level work and/or pursue different interests that we haven’t studied in a while. Even year-round homeschoolers need a way to “reboot” and get a fresh start with things. So, we are about to have our Labor Day Reboot time, then begin with fresh studies on Tuesday.
