We officially began our homeschooling journey in 2006, though I tend to think we’ve technically been homeschooling since our oldest daughter was born in 2001. To date, our daughters have never attended a public school. I am committed to their best interests and individual educational needs, so I’m always open to new teaching methods and learning opportunities for them. At this time, we take a relaxed approach with child-led learning, lapbooks, unit studies, and living books. I incorporate teaching ideas from Charlotte Mason and Montessori, but we aren’t purists in any one specific method.
